Are you a family member in crisis and looking for a lost loved one? Our Resource Guide is the first place to start the process. It also includes our Now What?(c)Recovery Plan Guidelines which are a critical component to re-unification. Finding a lost loved one and expecting him or her to just 'come home' is often an unrealistic expectation if the person has mental illness and/or co-occurring addiction issues and is prone to homelessness. Careful thought and consideration must be given to determine 'Now What?" when a lost loved one is found. Participate in Our Landmark Research

If you have (or have had) an unreported lost loved one, help us create solutions by taking part in our landmark research survey: The Missing Link Registry Project.

This landmark research survey is the first of its kind to document real stories of those who have experienced having a loved one who is/was missing that was unreported. Being unreported means the missing person is/was not part of the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database of missing persons, which currently lists about 100,000 names. We believe the numbers of 'missing, missing' persons are much higher than 'reported missing persons' as they are simply unaccounted for as missing in any official database.

People can become Off The Grid or “unreported as missing” for a variety of reasons: • families may have experienced one or more unsuccessful attempts to get the person listed as 'missing' with law enforcement • families may not care to report the person missing if they are estranged from him or her • the lost/missing person may be an unknown and/or unaccounted for dependent child of a homeless and mentally ill person on the streets; as a few real life examples.
